Qi Gong

Qi Gong loosely translates as cultivating energy and is a system of exercise that has long  been used for health and longevity.  Qi Gong takes many forms and has many systems, all of which incorporate combined movement of gentle body exercise with breathing, and a focused intention.  It is said that the "Qi flows where the mind goes", so  by moving mindfully, with deep breathing and focused intention, Qi Gong can be a powerful tool used for health and well-being of the practitioner.

 Be like water

Qi Gong practise should be like flowing water; ever changing, tumbling and rolling and always cutting a new path for the practitioner.  One's practise should always be developing and never stand still or it becomes like stagnant water. Practises such as Dao Yin (Taoist Yoga) or Dayan Qi Gong (Wild Goose) are taught by Energy Therapies from a health and wellness point of view, to enable the practitioner to look after their own health.
